He wrote his first solo song ‘Nowhere Land’ sitting on the gusty Lighthouse Beach headland, surrounded by crashing waves and has gone on to be a prolific song writer, signing his very first major label record deal in 2012.

Phil & Tilley
Phil & Tilley started playing music together in 2008 in the form of a 5 piece folk/rock outfit and in the autumn of 2012, decided to part ways with the project and start writing together as a duo. Surrounded by the New Forest (UK), an ancient woodland situated on the southern coast of England, the self-taught musicians began experimenting with ambient sounds which opened new doors for their song writing.
In 2016, Phil & Tilley arrived in Byron Bay with little more than their instruments, a few clothes and a tent. In order to pay for food, busking on the streets became a necessity until they began to establish themselves in local bars, cafes and farmers markets. Two years later they are now playing over 250 gigs a year throughout Australia, gaining a rapidly increasing fan base.
Their troubadour philosophy of being on the road as much as they can & playing shows wherever there’s a stage, has helped them gain airplay on National Radio NZ, BBC Introducing (UK) and various local radio shows around Australia. They also had the opportunity to play at TEDx Tauranga (NZ) in front of a 1000 seat, sold out crowd.
A yearning for travel and playing music has seen them play across UK, Australia, New Zealand, France, Belgium and South East Asia, but their story continues to take them wherever the music allows them to go. Cass Eager Band
Cass is a modern soul singer with a sound that embodies old-school cool with bold, sexy optimism. Her sound takes its cues from a vintage sonic swagger a-la Amy Winehouse, but sounds like she’d be just as much at home drinking dry martinis with Sade, Dusty Springfield and Nancy Sinatra at The Dresden in LA.
Cass sings songs that remind you that if the champagne glass isn’t already full, then it’s at least half-full (and definitely never half-empty). They're always drenched in her signature whiskey-smoked vocals, and wrapped up in a feel-good vibe.
She left Sydney for LA and carved out a new sound with her producer in LA, Billy Lefler, together nailing the sound she’d been looking for…a love of old-school soul blues songs mixed with a blend of the new West Coast.
Cass finds satisfaction in hammocks, road trips, coffee, whiskey, sunsets, the moon, the ocean, anything vintage, rebels, muses, young-at-hearts, palm trees, luxe velvet, faded denim, soul, R&B, rock ’n’ roll and eternal adventure.

And, if that’s not enough, she simultaneously creates bone marrow shaking grooves with spare limbs on her Foot Drum kit. Finally all three beasts are married together to forge a mammoth sized wall of sound.
From winning the world renowned ‘Bluesfest Busking Competition’ in 2011, to taking out the People’s Choice Award’ at both Blues At Bridgetown and Nannup Music Festival, plus earning the winning place of ‘Best Guitarist’ for the Open Arms Festival competition, Marks is no stranger on the block.
